About Bongotsov 2017 : Bengal Meets the World

Bongotsov, a cultural symposium is organized by Chhondeshi in association with the Internationa Student Services and the University of South Carolina, School of Music to explore the intercultural fusion that happened over the course of history between Eastern India (Bengal), Western and African Culture through Literature, Music, Dance and Drama. Nobel laureate, Rabindranath Tagore has pointed out this cultural exchange through his timeless poems . Our overarching goal is to broaden the understanding of this cultural exchange , while we discover the local talents in our students and the broader community of South Carolina and beyond.
